Mrs. WilderThe Wilder Times
By: Hannah Lesser August 22, 2012 My gifted teacher, Mrs. Melanie Wilder, has been teaching kids for 33 years! She's been teaching gifted specifically since 1984. She realized that she wanted to become a teacher in high school because she loved babysitting. Her last school was Social Circle City Schools which she taught from 2008 through 2011. She found this job at the Museum School on TeachGeorgia.com and after reading our website, thought we were awesome! Mrs. Wilder was born on August 20th in Gainesville, Georgia. She loves photography, videography, hiking, pottery, and teaching!(of course!) Her favorite color is blue, because when she does pottery, she always chooses blue glaze. Her favorite type of food is Italian and she loves to saute' roasted vegetables with olive oil. Mrs. Wilder has been married for 36 years and has three daughters that are 16, 26, and 30. She's got a dog named Molly and a rabbit named Moe, that came on Easter. She.Loves.Traveling. She's been to the Caribbean, Rome (in Italy) and in 1992 she went on a hiking trip to Ireland. *Note: When school began, I gave the students the opportunity to interview me and write a news article. This article written by Hannah is a result of these questions. |
